JCI Limerick is excited to host a dynamic and empowering Peer‑to‑Peer Skill Share event — where you become the speaker.

This session is designed to help young people aged 18–40 step into a supportive public‑speaking environment, build confidence, and present meaningful ideas that contribute to the future of JCI Limerick. Inspired by development models used by groups like Toastmasters and Enactus, this event focuses on growth, encouragement, and practical experience.

Registered participants will be invited to deliver a short project‑pitch presentation on how they would like to support the growth of JCI Limerick through one of the four JCI pillars:

• Business & Entrepreneurship

• Community Integration

• International Collaboration

• Personal Development

Speakers are encouraged to outline potential partner organisations, the impact they want to create, and how their project aligns with JCI’s mission.

This is a safe, friendly, and encouraging space — perfect for beginners and experienced speakers alike.

Event Format & Flow

1. Welcome & Introduction (3:00 PM – 3:10 PM)

• Opening remarks from the JCI Limerick Committee

• Overview of JCI’s mission and opportunities

• Purpose of the Peer‑to‑Peer Skill Share

2. Speaker Briefing (3:10 PM – 3:20 PM)

• Presentation order

• Tips for effective delivery

• Encouragement and Q&A

3. Project Pitch Presentations (3:20 PM – 4:20 PM)

Each participant delivers a 5–7 minute presentation including:

• Their chosen JCI pillar

• Proposed collaboration partners

• Project goals and expected impact

• How the project supports JCI Limerick’s growth

This replaces the previous “topic‑assigned” format and gives participants full ownership of their ideas.

4. Peer Feedback & Positive Highlights (4:20 PM – 4:35 PM)

Using best practices from speaker‑development groups:

• Each speaker receives two positive highlights

• Plus one constructive growth suggestion

• Feedback is supportive, kind, and focused on improvement

5. Awards Ceremony (4:35 PM – 4:45 PM)

• Best Presenter

• Best Presentation

• Invitation for the winning project to be developed with the JCI Committee

6. Closing Remarks & Next Steps (4:45 PM – 4:55 PM)

• Opportunities for members to take on leadership roles

• How to continue developing public‑speaking skills

• Next JCI Limerick events

7. Networking Session (4:55 PM – Onwards)

A relaxed space to connect, share experiences, and build friendships.
