JCI Limerick Run & Connect Series #2 – Mungret Parkrun

Join JCI Limerick for the second edition of the Run & Connect Series as we head to Mungret Park for the Mungret Parkrun.

Mungret Parkrun is a free, timed 5K community event taking place every Saturday at 9:30 AM. Whether you run, jog or walk, everyone is welcome to take part.

The JCI Limerick Run & Connect Series is a new community-building initiative inviting both JCI members and non-members to join us as we visit different running communities across Limerick.

The series promotes:

• Healthy and active lifestyles
• Community engagement
• Support for local running clubs and running communities
• Individual Development, one of JCI’s core pillars
• Physical and mental well-being among young people in Limerick

Throughout the series, JCI Limerick will join and promote local running communities, including:

• RUN061
• Croissant Run Club Limerick
• Run Talk Run – Limerick Chapter
• Sanctuary Runners Limerick
• Limerick Triathlon Club – Running Division

By attending these weekend runs together, we aim to boost visibility and engagement for local running communities, encourage more people to get active, strengthen collaboration between JCI Limerick and local lifestyle groups, and create opportunities for people to meet and connect.

Everyone is welcome — whether you are a seasoned runner, a casual jogger, a walker, or simply curious about joining a supportive community.

Come along, meet new people, discover a new running route and help us support Limerick’s growing running culture.

Event Schedule

9:15 AM – Meet with the JCI Limerick group
9:30 AM – Mungret Parkrun starts
Approximately 10:15 AM – Finish and regroup
After the run – Optional chill & connect

Location

Mungret Park, Limerick

Parking is available in the car park to the right of the Boathouse.

Important: Mungret Parkrun is free, but participants should register with parkrun before their first event and bring their parkrun barcode to receive their official time.

JCI Limerick participants are encouraged to register for this event through the JCI Limerick event page so we can coordinate the group.
